International Info Point

In the period from 27 October to 11 Januar 2026, the opening hours of the International Info Point will be changed:

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 11:00-13:00.

The Welcome Centre aims to support internationally mobile Researchers who are planning a stay at Bielefeld University, as well as the hosting Faculties and Research Institutes, with all questions related to the organisation of a research stay. We will not only provide you with information on all formalities to be completed before arrival and in Bielefeld, such as visa application and health insurance. We will also be happy to answer your questions about everyday life in Bielefeld and Germany and help you find suitable accommodation.

Our internet portal with numerous links can certainly provide you with initial answers to the most pressing of your questions. Of course, if you have any further questions, you can also contact the Welcome Centre staff directly and ask for personal advice.

Online Registration

Please inform us as early as possible about your planned stay at Bielefeld University and register online. This primarily enables us to advise and support you individually before your arrival and to prepare for your arrival.
